ISKRA Products for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Iskra provides components for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations also. Iskra's products are known for their reliability, versatility, and easy integration with other charging networks and systems. Some of their popular products for reliable & safe EV charging include:

BI-DIRECTIONAL ENERGY METERS

The WM3M4 and WM3M4C are energy meters from Iskra designed for use in three-phase and one-phase electrical charger stations. The WM3M4C energy meter has the added capability of digital signing for a charging event and can detect and log relevant events through RS485 communication.

Both meters measure energy directly in 4-wire networks by rapidly sampling voltage and current signals. A built-in microprocessor calculates various parameters such as power, energy, current, voltage, power factor, power angle, frequency, and harmonics of THD voltage and THD current.

The WM3M4C meter can produce a digital signature for a charging event, while the WM3M4 meter is limited to high-temperature operation.

ENERGY METERS

IE14xx series
The IE14 and IE14M (MID certified) are single-phase energy meters from Iskra designed for use in residential, industrial, and utility applications. They measure energy directly in 2-wire networks by rapidly sampling voltage and current signals. The meters are equipped with a capacitive touch button for easy navigation, as well as a backlit display for better visibility.

A built-in microprocessor calculates energy and other electrical quantities from the measured signals, and also controls the LCD, LED, IR communication, and any optional extensions. The IE14M is MID certified, making it suitable for use in applications that require compliance with the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID).

IE38xx series
The IE38Mx are three-phase energy meters from Iskra designed for use in residential, industrial, and utility applications. They measure energy directly in 3-wire and 4-wire networks by rapidly sampling voltage and current signals.

The meters have a built-in microprocessor that calculates energy and other electrical quantities from the measured signals, and also controls the LCD, LED, IR communication, and any optional extensions. These meters are suitable for energy measurement in three-phase electrical power networks.

RESIDUAL CURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKERS (RCCB)

NFI4BK
RCCB Type A up to 125 a, RCCB Type B up to 80 a
Iskra offers residual current circuit breakers (RCCB) for protection against indirect contact, fire protection, and additional protection against direct contact. They offer a variety of RCCB types (AC, A, B, F, G, S) with a short-circuit capacity of 10 KA to meet the needs of their customers.

The RCCBs are available in 2-pole or 4-pole versions with residual operational currents of 10 mA, 30 mA, 100 mA, 300 mA, and 500 mA. Types A and B are the most commonly used RCCBs for EV charging stations.

NFI4K High immunity
RCCB Type A up to 125 a, RCCB Type B up to 80 a
Iskra offers transient resistant Type A RCCBs for EV applications with high immunity against unwanted tripping from current harmonics (e.g. frequency converters) and impulses (e.g. a large number of fluorescent lamps, transient switching effects).

These RCCBs are also designed to operate under extreme conditions (e.g. impulse-shaped leakage currents at longer cables, storm damage, computers, x-ray devices, etc.). They have short-time delayed RCCBs with a minimum non-actuating time of 10 ms (Type G according to ÖVE E 8601).

The RCCBs are highly resistant to surge currents of shape 8/20 μs (up to 3 kA) and can operate reliably even in the presence of strong making currents. They are sensitive to residual sinusoidal alternating and residual pulsating direct currents (Type A). The RCCBs are rated for currents up to 100 A and have a rated residual current of 30 mA. They are available in two-pole and four-pole versions.

INSTALLATION CONTACTORS

IKD432-40
The Installation contactors are versatile switching devices used in various applications including EV charging stations. They provide a safe, reliable, and efficient way of managing electrical equipment such as small motors, heating, lighting, and other electronics.

The contactors come in 2-pole and 4-pole versions with current ratings up to 63 A and can have an AC or AC/DC coil. AC/DC coils result in silent and inrush-free operation, and RFI interference can be reduced with optional filters.

The contactors have a long mechanical endurance of up to 10 million operations and can switch motors up to 15 kw.

MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKERS

The MCB provide protection against both overload and short circuit, as well as providing a function of isolation. They have a high short circuit capacity with a rating of 10 kA and Energy Limiting Class 3.

Additionally, they have a contact position indicator and can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail or using screw mounting. A full range of accessories is also available for these contactors.

These components can be used to build complete EV charging solutions, from residential chargers to fast charging networks, with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
